3-07-09 Congaree fishing report

Caught some catfish Saturday afternoon. We fished the Congaree river. Had a few nice ones and some smaller ones. The water was high and had a lot of color to it.

The last pic is my favorite. Never ceases to amaze me how well they swim. That one is pushing a wake...I have a feeling Beagleman went in for a close look and worried her along a bit. That's what I'd a done.

You could have switched baits and gone deerfishing and had an even better day on the water.

Caught the cats on herring. I just got finished putting the fillets in the freezer. I bagged 33 quarts of them, gave some away and fed half a dozen people of the catch. The deer were pretty cool. We did not bother them, they were just between us and where we were going. Also saw ten gobblers and some wood ducks on this trip.
