Nice going, congrats, where the pics?
I actually really thought about running south across the shoals but decided to keep in short and simple for our first tournament. Going to need a bigger, faster boat for those longer runs!
We all actually forgot about pictures until JUST after we dropped off the fish. Lesson for next time!
Congratulations Tim. Ty Cobb puts on a good tournament there at CB. Hated to miss it this year. Did you hear where the winning King came from? You need to plan of fishing the US OPEN the first weekend in October. That is the biggest King tournament in SE NC.
No kidding!! Know of a great deal on a 30-34ft CC with twin 300/350's?!!
And by great deal I mean less than 15k!!
I'm not sure where the winning king came from other than
N2theblue mentioning it came from south of the shoals. I was trying to find info on the 2009 US Open and really can't find anything. Do you have a web address for it?

The weigh-in is usually quite amusing - at least a few people get launched into the water yearly (at least when I had a slip there)
and there seem to be some very nice fish caught yearly.
Tim,
They usually don't update it until sometime next month I believe. The dates are Oct 1-3rd. Usually averages 500 boats. Guaranteed 25K for first not including the TWT. I will check at the marina next time by and pick up the brochure for you. Entry is probably still 250 plus 100 for twt. you fish 2 days friday and saturday. I usually get down on Wed so we can pen up bait for Friday. I will pm you when i get more info.
