1st TIMERS SCORE AT THE FINGERS

Drove the boat for South river Annapolis area to Lynnehaven
    Va Beach.
Weather rainy and 3-4 chop till Cape charles made for a dreary
    Long ride.
    Friday 4 a.m. head out.
Got to “the fingers” on way to “Norfolk Canyon”

Out went the “bird gm daisy” way back
Out goes “small smoker” on rigger
Letting out “big smoker” something w/ very sharp teeth
Shaved the 250# and sliced the lure up.
Turned the boat to go back to the fish now headed west
    At around 6mph
Switched to ceder plugs on riggers
Got two spreader bars out in the corners and two bally hoo out also
Red and white cedar gets hit runs and breaks leader at swivel .
(store bought and the swivel was closed, mystery)
    Get another swivel out.
GM wwb gets hit and on good!
    TUNA!!! Yellowfin 55# gutted!!!
The wind and waves picked up and we headed back.
    Great time!!
Too weather report too rough for us Saturday so we toured Norfolk
    Navel Air Station
Had a beautiful run back home Sunday
    Thanks for all the advice.

Sorry about the leader. did it have any chafing mat on the loop? unless it was a nick or something, I would cut off the crimp at a minimum and do it yourself, that way you know its done right. make sure you have the right size and be careful not to crimp it on the end which could nick/cut the line and you wont know it until its too late. send me the pics and I will try to get them up for you

    tolmaz-
    sent you a b-
yep i was pertty carful with tying my own riggs.
seem like the worst place to skimp or rush..
considering all the expence and effort to hook a fish
you'd really kick yourself if it was your own fault..
i'll be doing the majority if not all of my riggs
when i return to the ocean!

Its been two weeks and man
that tuna, no, the whole trip was the most
fun I’ve had on a boat!!
I’m defiantly working on getting back out
    there.
I just hope it all wasn’t beginners luck.
I been reading this board since the spring and
believe me I learned a lot and it helped
    Thanks guys!
