thanks for the info, i'll file the leads.
had to put used rubber on it just move the car, sat in that spot for 18 yrs. when i moved the belts on the steel belts just cracked and peeled off. the distributer is stuck and i've been soaking it from time to time with penetrating oil hoping to free it up. took awhile just to replace the plugs and prep just start her up. she fired up and flexed a few muscles. points and condenser and soaking the carb and trani, brakes, etc.
shes a cruising preety good now. got new drain tubes in the mail for the trunk deck so that was a good find. got to install them soon. thanks for advice also..
the deal with the doors is the plastic frame the armrest attach to is brittle and need to be reinforced. check the pic of the armrest where someone actually used a key as a washer. gotta mesh those pieces together somehow, thats a biggie for me. i've taken bothsides off just prevent further damage. my dad and mom were the second owners of the car.

just posted a pic of the drain tubes that we installed sat. last pic, they draain the water from the vents thru trunk onto the underside.

thanks again sf. dudes. box, i made a phone call in the begining to our local ford dealer (thomasville,nc) and they diercted me to some other references. to charlotte,nc. then south carolina, then conn. they refered a ford club in Oregon. all contacts have been great supporters, and very willing to help. its good to share alittle and i had know it would have stared without there help. thanks to buddy serv. station who has been a friend and mechanic to me for many years, you got some work to do. alittle at a time we gotta fish too.
