12/9 WB bottom fishing

Hit the water this morning at about 5:30 with Robert, Arlen, and Jon for a stroll out to the asshole for some Amberjack jigging. Finally get to the spot and to our surprise, no fish. Drop the jigs anyways and immediately hook up on a few fish but the monsters were not there to we decided we would head down the beach a ways and see what we can find. We only made it a mile or two before we came across a ledge and some real pretty marks in 230ft. The first live bait to hit the bottom was gobbled up immediately as well as everyone after that until they were all gone. We ended up staying there for most of the day and ended up putting at least 12 of our sixteen fish in the box there. We had 12 really fat reds and a black grouper there as well as a few kitty mitchells and some other species that we were not quite sure about. Ended the day with 12 reds, 3 scamp, and a black. Also got a big trigger fish and some big porgies in the box. Fish came on jigs and live bait. Enjoy the photos!

Wow Fellas ya'll had a very nice day....RJ thanks for the welded rings the tackle shop must have been out of them when I went. The jigs I bought must have had "amberjack in heat" sprayed on them too, donkeys came running for mile to crush that thing.
