    11/26 Trout and a Tree

    Fishing... another great day.

Today was about quality native trout and the beauty of them, not just the size. This little brown may have been small, real small in size but had quite an appetite.

I grew up fishing these streams but never caught the quality or quanity of fish that I have been catching with the boys leading the way. Wyatt showing off another fine native rainbow.

Nolan with an average native brown for this little 1.5 mile stretch of stream we fish.

Todays weather was a big change from the t-shirt weather we had on Wednesday. The two brothers with fleece hats and jackets doubled up on a pair of native rainbow for a quick photo op before returning them to the water.

Ended this trip taking home 29 nice size trout to enjoy and pass onto others for their own table. This last one shows the beauty of the stocked trout found in the area and seems much nicer than those found in other stocked waters.

While in the mountains we take a little side trip after a big Thanksgiving lunch to get trees. Here we get some much needed excercise, changing the pace from lounging but continuing the holiday spirit! Talking about holiday spirit, the old guy that owns and runs the tree farm gets into the spirit as we pick out our 17 trees plus several wreaths to finish out our Thanksgiving Day!

    SEVENTEEN?

17 trees? I personally will trim the one here, help set up my inlaws and sister inlaw. Plus I got the owner of the farm where we dove hunt 4 for Robert and his family. My extended family have the other 10 and will be scattered throughout VA and NC.
