It's 9:30 p.m. and it's 93 here, but it "feels like" 102.

Heat index hit 114 here today. Supposed to cool down to 100 tomorrow then back 110+ Saturday and Sunday.

Awesome weather to be stuck in the bilge doing boat work.

I have always heard this new place called Hotlanta. After being here for a few months, I know why. NC heat doesn't have a thing on the heat/humidity mix here. I'm coming home one day.

Thats the only thing scarier than the snakes, spiders, ticks and other creepy crawlies here. I flipped over a thing in the yard the other day that had a nest of snakes under it. My place in Beaufort is in the swamp and there aren't as many critters there.

Thank the Lord it had cooled down to a balmy 95 by the time we started a doubler header (14 innings) in the Cary over 50 softball league last night. Whewwwww. So much for warming up before the game!
