This is my 1000th post right here on Box's forum.
That's a lot considering before SFC I never posted anything on any internet forum.

I'm positive I've gotten more out of this site than I've put in. I've met some great people and have been impressed by the free flow of info and the help that many have given me. I try to stay out of the BS the best I can because I think it takes something away from what this website is all about.

I feel like I support the site pretty good- I've donated to some of the charities on here, I try to buy from the advertisers, I've offered fishing trips to many people and sent secret loran numbers to a few. I try to share as much info as I can and I enjoy helping the people that are just starting out in the sport. I only reply to fishing questions/techniques when I'm confident in my answer. I catch myself telling people that "one of my friends" told me something- when it is really someone I've never met in person.

The contacts I've met from this site are incredible. Right now I have a standing invitation on 2 boats to fish as many tournaments as I want at NO CHARGE. I've been invited to fish on so many boats I can't even remember.
In my younger days when I had the time, I would have been all over some of the offers I've seen on here.

I used to look at some of the people that had more than 1000 posts and think - whoa, he must just sit in front of the computer all day. I don't think that now because I realize the more you post, the more you become comfortable with it and they just start adding up.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that being a part of this is pretty cool. THANKS EVERYONE!!!

Truth be known , hotrodmarlin , like others on this board , you always responded to any questions that I have ever Had no matter how small ! You have offerd days up to me to fish with you as well ! Thanks guys. I guess this site is the same as most things- the more you put in the more you get out of it.

Last saturday I painted the baby room and today I've been putting together the crib and other furniture.. 2 saturday's in a row.... my crystal ball tells me I'll be counting on sportfishermen.com to get my fishing fix from now on....
