10" ******* file for hook sharpening

I'm wondering how many of you use a 10" hardware store type ******* file to sharpen your hooks?

When I was growing up I just thought it was called a file and my dad hated my guts or something... Then again he did always put "file" before "*******" when I was sharpening the mower blade.

Thanks for the replys so far.

Do you think most or at least 50% of the hard core guys that fish the salt from boats have them on board. Would a person fishing from shore use a larger 10" ******* file or a smaller 4 1/2 " Luhr Jensen style file?

    Thanks for the help.

    PLEASE FORGIVE ME LUHRS JENSEN

I USE A 10" ******* FILE WITH LOYALTY.......PROBABLY PURCHASE 40 PLUS A YEAR BEACUASE I CANNOT STAND TO EVEN ATTEMPT TO SHARPEN A HOOK WITH A RUSTY FILE

THE FILES GROOVES WILL NOT GET THE JOB DONE IF RUST IS PRESENT

WHILE I REALIZE NO FILE SHOULD GO ON A BOAT......THE LUHRS JENSEN... IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME CORRECT WILL LAST ONE TRIP ON A BOAT AND A WEEK IN MY GARAGE

AVERAGE COST OF THIS 10" FILE HAS BEEN AT 4 BUCKS WALLY WORLD

GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU HOLDZIT!!! IS THERE A FILE PRESERVER ON THE WAY ???

I NEED TWO OF THE LARGER HOLSTERS FOR MY JINKAI CRIMPERS...SOMEHOW I LOST MY LAST ONES

PLEASE SEND SOME TO CHUCK & MARY'S

GREAT PRODUCTS YOU HAVE AND AGAIN....WELCOME ABOARD!!!

HoldZit on the small boat and 10" ******* on the big boat. Sure would be nice to have a "HoldZit" case for the 10" fiile.
