10/15 Wrightsville Beach report
Yesterday left the dock at 1:30 with my buddy Doc Bartlett abd was back in the slip by 3:30 with our limit of Spanish. No pics but had 3-4 of them in the three pound class. They were jumping all over the place so I really can't say it was because of any skill we had. Probally could have thrown a cst net and come back in half the time. For you fly guys it would have been a dream day for you; another one today probally before the weather rolls in for the weekend. Trolled around the Liberty Ship with a couple of spoons (one on a bird rig another on a #1 planner), a third line with a crippled herring on a #2 planner, and a fourth with one of Tex's Tackle's special wright trollling lure (2 oz. so no trolling weight needed and can wind it all the way to rod tip if you would like). Got half a day of work in, great weather, great seas, great company, great results of fresh broiled Spanish in my belly! Can you say CAROLINA FALL FISHING?
