i double crimp 330# spro barrel swivel to the main line, i then double crimp the 100 # flouro leader to the spro , finally double crimp hook. make sure to put your islander or shute lure on before crimping

what you have is a low profile, extremely strong connection


we did a number of test on the Hooked Up II after busting off a few slobs, and we could not part any link in this set up at 40# of drag on a tiagra 80 in any of our test

does the double crimp help? i cant be positive, but it cant hurt unless your not crimping correctly.
