    06DEC08 CBBT Togs and Stripers

Fished in the mini fleet below the highrise and wasted a bunch of eels on dawgs, got flustered there and went to the pulloff at the high rise around 0900 and began toggin' caught a handfull, the biggest was 6 pounds, the rest were 15-16 inchers, tasty none the less. The current got to rippin' so we went looking for a fishy looking spot to drop our eels, we ended up on the ocean side of Fishermans Isl. and droppin eels in the gannets. Only had one bite that wasnt a dogfish, ended up being a 48" 42-3 bass...no to bad dont guess. The birds petered out so we decided to go get our parking spot at the high rise, ended up a few boats down from Jackass and Paige 2 on the other side. Dropped the hook, put up the plastic, and cranked up the heat....and waited. The 8 crank rod gets a little bouncy so Steve picks it up and wait for the fish to move off...good thing he did, it was another 48 incher. She also went on a boat ride. The ride home was nice slick calm ride back across the bay.

Side note: Ive never seen it bad other there, it was like Cape Henry but worse. I had a guy come within 50 FEET of me at full cruise in a big Grady White " OVERBOARD" was the boat, hit his riggers on the bottom side of the bridge and never even stopped to see what all the noise was.

Pretty work! I was way North of you the same day. Had two one at 47 and 1/2 and the other at 38. Good job on the togs. Does this mean you gave up on the trout hole?

Craig, nah, just had to change things up a bit. One can only take the same scenery so long. Ill probally be back up there a few days this week.It looks like the weatherman is blessing us with somemore wind...

I havent found one bigger than 9 pounds this year, and times running out. BUT with that said, all my big (10+) fish have came between the 15th or Dec and 20th of Jan.

Good fishing there Danny... good fish/good eats! GOOD CALL on the togging. We did it last Wednesday with the weak currents. Ended up boxing 9 fish with 7 of them over 7 pounds.

"Loud and Clear" on the nuts out there this time of year. It amazes me the folks that want to zig-zag through a fleet of boats at 1/2 throttle, throwing the largest wake possible... versus taking a little time and going around folks. OR, the ones that want to run wide open alongside the bridge, versus holding a couple hundred yards off it.
