Report updated 5/27/10

We have had a lot of requests for fishing reports and we would love to hear from you! Please submit your pictures and fishing reports to fishingreport@coyotebait.com We will integrate them to our reports to provide you with the most accurate information.

Anderson Lake - The bass bite has been decent for smallish fish from 1-2 lbs. Heard a few guys did really well throwing crankbaits in the wind this last week. Otherwise finesse the fish using small tubes and drop shot baits.

Calero Lake - The bass bite has been consistent for fish in the 1-3 lb. range. Spinnerbaits, swimbaits, and crankbaits have been producing in these heavy winds. Carolina rigged baits and texas rigged plastics have been working well. Expect the bite to blow up when the weather becomes more consistent.

Coyote Lake - Coyote Lake is now open to boating. Bass fishing has been slow. There has been a huge carp die off. Most the action I've heard has been guys fishing the dam for crappie.

Chesboro - Haven't had much to report from Chesboro. Some guys are catfishing at night but haven't heard much success from them. Some smallish bass have been caught here on green pumpkin senkos from anglers cruising the shorelines.

Uvas - The crappie bite has been decent here for some. Blue and white mini jigs and small minnows have been working around the launch ramp and the dam. The bass bite has also been decent. Guys are throwing baby brush hogs and swimbaits along the dam with good success.

Parkway Lake - Parkway is now stocking catfish. The bite has been decent fishing cheese bait, mackeral, chicken liver, and nightcrawlers. Call 408-629-9111 for more information.

San Luis Reservoir/O'Neil Forebay - The striper bite has been fair at the forebay. High winds have kept anglers off the water. Most of the fish are schoolies from 1-3 lbs. and have been caught fishing anchovies, sardines, pile worms, and blood worms. Try the 152 bridge and Check 12 for the best success. I've had no reports from the main dam.

SF Bay/Ocean - Salmon fishing has been slow in Monterey Bay lately. Rockcod fishing is now open and has been good down at the Point Sur area weather permitting. Halibut fishing in SF Bay has slowed with the heavy winds and big tides. The striper bite has been good around Alameda and the San Francisco Airport. The fish have been biting live shiners and anchovies.
