Fishing and Boating Report – July 20, 2011
Cameron County

Water levels are low. The Sinnemahoning Creek and West Branch of the Susquehanna River are too low for even canoes and kayaks.

Water temperatures are warm. Anglers are having success catching catfish and bluegills during evening hours.

Lycoming County

West Branch of the Susquehanna River - Fishing has been slow. However, anglers have been catching some really nice smallmouth bass, reports of 4 pounders and up. Boaters should keep a sharp eye on the river levels. Levels are low. Boaters are reminded to make sure they have the required safety equipment on board. Kayaks, canoes and inflatable boats still need to have personal floatation devices on board.

McKean County

Water levels are low and warm across the County.

Reminder for boaters: Boaters in boats 16 feet and less and all canoes and kayaks are required to wear a personal floatation device (PFD) or lifejacket at all times on the Allegheny Reservoir.
