Trout fishing on East Licking Creek from Guss Park downstream has been good. People on four wheelers stock most of this stream. East Licking Creek and has many deeper pools, under cut banks and fallen trees.

Lebanon County

Trout in Marquette Lake are being caught on paste baits.

Perry County

Area trout streams area still have many trout due to in season stockings by the PFBC and local cooperative nurseries. Water levels are idea on all local streams.
Anglers are catching some pan fish on Holman Lake. Some anglers are still reporting nice catches of crappies on the lake. In addition, paste baits are working on stocked trout in the lake.

York County

Trout fishing in the Southeast area of York County continues to be very productive. One angler made the comment that this year’s PFBC Trout Stocking Program was very successful due to the quality of the trout that were stocked. Live bait is still the best bet to catch nice browns and rainbows. Mealworms, minnows, and small worms work best. The lower section of Muddy Creek from the Forks down to Woodbine will be stocked Wednesday April 21st.

Fishing the Susquehanna River is spotty. Carp and catfish are being taken with cut bait, corn, and night crawlers. Bass in the 11” to 13” range are being caught at Bruner Island on watermelon colored rubber worms.

The level of Lake Williams has been lowered 5’ to allow for work to take place on the dam. Because of this, the fish have taken to deeper water. Panfish and crappies are being caught in deeper water on live bait. Some largemouth bass are hitting spinner baits at Lake Redman.
