New Bern Fishing

Anyone know how the panfishing is going around the Neuse, the Trent, Brices Creek or anywhere else in the New Bern area. We have a 3.5 hour drive in getting to New Bern and we usually stay for 3-4 days, so, we like to at least know the that the fishing has been fairly active over the past few days before we go up. Any info on what, when, where and how active will be appreciated.

panfishing is always good around those areas but the salt is pretty high right now. Early and late fish are biting. Im heading up adams creek tommorrow for some salt water fish, ever try that?
