No fishing...

to keep it simple, why would I bother going down to the shore at all... the point of having the boat I own is to spend time with my family and friends fishing. So if I can't fish, I won't go and buy the things that make our day enjoyable on the boat - ( Bait, Gas, Sandwiches from Local deli). hmmm I guess if I'm not going down I won't be at the Tiki bar swapping fish stories or on the boardwalk afterward playing games and buying more food with my 3 kids... Not mention I won't have to spend $ for the gas and tolls to get and forth. I pump a lot of money into the shore community and NJ tax coffers on my weekly fishing excursions... I love to support the local businesses choosing the deli over the Wawa for example. The last couple of years have been hard on the shore economy, I know its been slow due to higher fuel prices and weather... take away fishing and many may not make it. I have no history in the industry, my passions and desires for the sport are not as deep as many others... but what really upsets me is additional regulations (or executive orders) that are completely short sighted and show little to no regards for the ripple effect it will have on the business and entrepreneurial spirit that make this country so great... recreational fishing may not mean much to you, but it does to many others who may not be directly involved with fishing and it will effect their livelihood .
