Allmost all of my early memories with the family are fishing or fishing related. I made my first money clamming (shell-fishing) and did a whole lot of that on the commercial end before I bought a marina bait and tackle shop.

Today I've raised two kids because of recreational fishing and commercial fishing for bait to sell to the recreational anglers. Now my son does a lot of the bait catching and I'm trying to do more chartering to get out of the shop and onto the water.

If fishing stopped i really don't know what I would do. If i could sell my marina to the developers I would have some nest egg, but does anyone really want to live by the water if they can't fish.

I am moving some of my eggs down to Guatemala, the nation of my wife and where both my children were born, where they do understand the importance of sport fishing and are doing a good job of protecting the fish that is laying the golden eggs.

I'm not ready to give up on the good ole USA yet, but the powers that be are making it hard to hang in.
