For the last 15 years we have been fishing off the coast of Va and NC. Five of those years we were staying in hotels and charter fishing. Trips to the Outer Banks, NC consisted of two days or more worth of gas, food, hotels, charter fishing, shopping and tips. How much would that be worth to the Outer Banks? Well, our passion for fishing has resulted in hundreds of thousand of dollars spent in these towns. Two fishing boats, one motor replacement, two truck purchases, electronics, fishing reels, untold amounts of gear/bait/ice/food/clothing, insurance and maintenance, ect., ect.. Three years ago we purchased a home in Kill Devil Hills. We have contracted for many different repairs and remodeling. We pay local taxes as well as license fees. How much is this worth? If we couldn't fish we wouldn't have spent this kind of money!
