Fishing and freedom in this country

Is about to be taken away from everyone who cherishes the outdoors. The administrative powers that be are on a fast tract to ending outdoor activities in this great nation from your backyard pond to majestic rivers lakes and streams. On the coastal community scene it will be lost forever. For those that vacation to the beach no more taking kids crabbing or fishing at the end of your block or favorite back bay hole. This is the very near future and its scary to think like this, but in fact this just may be a reality soon, very soon.

What fishing is to me is a little more then what I make my living from, yes I make my living from fishing, But thats not what its about.
When I was a wee tyke I first discovered that if you put a worm on a hook and put it in the water, leave it on the dock for a few hrs and come back to it there would be a fish on the other end of the line. I was blown away by this new concept, remember I was very young at this point, Maybe 5 or 6. This was my first experience with catching a fish, one I would never forget or how it felt, and to this day I still remember it like it was two hours ago. After that I "fished" in my creek that we had in our back yard catching little minnows and creek chub until I was old enough to explore on my own and once I did I found that my little creek emptied into a much larger stream that held Trout, smallmouth Bass, Fall fish, Sunnies and a few largemouth bass once in a blue moon. My thoughts exploded with this new find, I got a job with a paper route to buy a rod and reel and fish this new stretch of water. I was around 10 or 12 at this point and everyday after school I went fishing this went on for a long time, between fishing and hockey I had very little time for nonsense such as drugs and other crap, did I go out on the weekends and party with my friends yep, who didn't, but my main focus was fishing and playing Hockey.

Growing up I went to Maine during the summers since I was born back in 71 and, well once I found out that worms catch fish I tried it up there as well except the worms up there bite.
Anyway everyday I would ride my bike to the wharf and fish for pollock and tommy cod every single day, I loved it! Once I got older I worked stern on lobsterboats and had a fun time doing that. It was in my blood.

Now I have taken what I love to do and try to share it with people who don't get the chance to go fishing. This will no longer be a reality if President Oboma passes this through.

I owe my life to fishing for many reasons, I loved it from the get go till now. Its sad to see that our new president is at the forefront of taking this away from our children and denying them the simple pleasure of what I first felt when I caught my first fish.
