Hide- My Wifes Logged On
Double the impact
The dire situation that we are are facing with the current state of our fisheries and it's legislation has far reaching effects as evidenced by many posters here.
Personally my passion of fishing is, and it seems will continue to be under fire. I find great joy in being able to spend the day on the water doing all manor of fishing. Back bay Flounder, wreck fishing for Tog and Sea Bass and offshore for Tuna and Marlin.
Then there is the manor in which I make my living, which is selling boats. If the public is not able to go fishing, they are not going to buy boats. No boat sales, no fishing. It is as simple has that.
Bottom line is recreational fishing is a huge business. Many individuals and business rely on it. We need to make sure our government officials not only use the right (read best) science available to manage our fisheries, they need to also understand the impact their rulings will have as it relates to their constituency.
