The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has approved hunting and fishing regulations discussed during statewide public hearings this past year.

A vote on proposed regulations was held at the March 3 meeting. Among the new regulations that will be in effect next year are:

Striped bass of any size may be harvested from June 1 through September 30 from Lake Gaston and Roanoke Rapids Lake within th efour-fish daily creel limit.

A 14-inch minimum size limit for largemouth bass in Jordan and Falls of Neuse reservoirs will be established with a five-fish daily creel limit.
