Yes, NDBC has done it with exchanging 44025 and replacing 44066/TT4
buoys. Thanks to the cooperation and response of this agency to our needs.
As previously stated the overwhelming service schedule had prevented earlier servicing. Remember their repair schedule is once every 2 years but our requests were heard.
Also, these buoys provide daily data to help create the offshore text forecasts we use for the colorful zone inshore and offshore forecasts. So it helps all around.
Let's hope the winter and spring seasons aren't as bad as last year so
we can have at least a year of comfort.
