For sale is a Borg Warner Velvet Drive Marine Transmission. It is a model 71C. It's reduction is 1.9 to 1. It came off 307 Chevy Crusader that was in a Pacemaker\Drift-R-Cruise Houseboat. I have put on new front and rear oil seals as well as new gaskets. I ran it on my 318 Chrysler test engine with good results. It shifted without a problem and maintained 120 psi oil pressure throughout the test. I will set up for either rotation at no extra charge. It has a 4" output flange, but I can change that to 5" if you buy the flange. If I find one laying around, I'll switch it for you for free. I have the other transmission from the boat if you have a twin engine application. Sale is for one transmission. The winner can have the other one for the same price. These things were totally rebuilt a few years ago and have very few hours on them since. I sold the boat as a live aboard and the owner never left the dock. The boat has been cut up and disposed of. The 71 C is a good transmission for a small block engine. I wouldn't recommend using them on Big Blocks. I have the stronger 72 C's listed in my store for a higher price. That is because they can handle more Horse Power. Buy those if you have a big block or small diesel. Make sure you by the correct one, not the cheapest. The unit weighs approx. 154 lbs and a pallet (approx. 30â?? x 40â?? ) would add an additional approx. 50lbs.
