2001 Yamaha GP1200R
Location: Chesterton, IN 2001 Yamaha GP1200R Vehicle Description This is a 2001 Yamaha GP1200R. I am the third owner, the previous two being two of my friends. The ski has always been garage kept, washed, waxed, flushed every use, and babied since the first owner. I feel the jet ski is in great condition compared to others I have seen. It has the normal wear and tear on the bottom because of going on and off the trailer and lake lift. It has a few scratches on the hull but nothing major at all (no dock gouges). It looks as if it is only like 2 or 3 years old rather than almost 9. It only has about 150 hours on the hull. It truly was only used about 4 or 5 summers, and sat in the garage or storage the rest of the time. A brand new engine was put in it about a month ago (not re-built) due to a powervalve failure. It has a complete no question ask replacement warranty until this coming May. They are putting in a aftermarket power valve clip on this new motor so nothing like that should ever happen again. This engine cost me $2,000 by itself plus all the labor to be installed. Any work that has ever happened on the jet ski has been done by a certified Yamaha shop in Michigan. I am selling with the original Yamaha cover, and a single place trailer that is in great shape as well. The jet ski also has some newer and aftermarket parts installed that value about $600 in itself (outside of the engine). They include: - Riva Flame Arrestors (aftermarket air intake on the carb) - Riva Carbon Fiber Reeds - Free flow exhaust - Riva D-plate (cat converter removed) - Riva Cat converter chip - New exhaust boot - New ride plate seal - Riva New front cylinder ignition coil and plug wire - New front cylinder carb (because of the original screw problem) - Oil pump blockoff (pre-mix set up due to aftermarket parts) -All the original parts that were removed for the above are still in my shed and will come with the ski The Jet ski still values at $4,955 on NADA under the average section (without the above parts). Meaning normal wear and tear and normal hours on a 9 year old engine. Obviously this unit has less than normal wear and tear, and will only have about an hour or 2 total on a brand new engine. The jet ski will run 63-64 mph with room to still tune the carb for more speed. I have it tuned so it is not running lean. I have all the maintenance papers, original video and manual. I am only selling this because I recently bought a 2003 GP1300R and have no need for two jet ski's. More... |
