I notice the life float on the t-top of the police boat. Any idea how it's attached? Velcro straps, or snap buckle straps attached to the t-top frame?

Nope, I really didn't look at the liferaft too closely. I think all of the commercial fishing/charter boats down here have those rigid rafts on them these days.

But tell ya what, in a couple hours we will be down in that general vicinity for some physical therapy on this new unobtainium knee, and if it's still there we can take a look.

Hey Bisquit, I didn't forget about you. Honest.

We swang back by that boat to see how the raft is secured.

Well, nothing high tech here. In good old island fashion, they just used a stainless snap hook tied to the t-top. Looks to me like it will work just fine, if you don't need an automatic release.

around here, that's probably good enough. Nobody is going to be suffering instant hypothermia in this water, and you don't need a knife to release it. Or have to untie a knot.

I can understand their thinking and practicality with what they have to work with.

Thanks!

That's crystal clear now...thank you so much. I want to put one on my t-top and have been trying to figure out the simplest way. I guess it doesn't get much simpler--I've been over-thinking it.

I really appreciate your taking the time to go back by and provide the picture.

Good luck during the H season.
