Not sure I want a hand held..!!!

I like the brass dial version!! I could mount it in my office somewhere - guess it'll have to a Christmas present or something...

La Gringa, I am so sorry that you have to go through this. I guess for me, going through all of them I have gone through since 1954, I have gotten to where I don't worry about them much. Over the years, I have "learned to reason with hurricane season" After you and Gringo have a few seasons under your belts, you will have your plan worked out and hurricane season will come as second nature and you will not worry much about it...

All rightie then! We did you a favor and "Wished" the big windbags to leave you alone. I guess we go so caught up in getting them off your back now we have Bill looking to slosh up my canyons on Sunday... See that! No good deed goes unpunished...

Your turn... Point your hurricane disuading devices at this wind bag and get it off our backs now...

Are you referring to the hurricane?

The season is off to a fast start - Let's hope they stay away from land.

Thanks Lee! It's a tradeoff for living in paradise and I'll take it. Like clt_capt said - the season is off to a quick start and that definitely got the blood pumping and had me remembering last year. After Hanna, I guess one learns to expect anything!!!

Hey I just checked the forecast models on Storm Pulse and one forecaster has Bill (which is already at 100 mph winds) coming directly over us!!! Fortunately, all the other models have it making a hard right and heading north.
