Is your internet connection that slow??

Tell you what, send me your serial #, and I will call Yam USA for you from here if you would like, and just email you what they tell me.

I talked to Yam. USA (866-894-1626) just now. They said the only Tech. Update required for this engine is the Oil Pump Upgrade. They did not show it had been done, but they only show the work done on an engine that is paid for by Yam under warranty - not regular dealer maintenance, etc.

Not sure how much help that is to you, but let me know if you want me to ask them anything else.

    Good luck w/ it.

    Thanks .

I took a look at the number on the oil pump arm, and I don't remember what it is but it ended in the number "3" which I read were the good pumps.

    This is what i read:

"oil pumps with s/n 60v10, 60v11, or 60v12 will need to be replaced with s/n 60v13
-oil pumps with s/n 60v0, 60v01, or 60v02 will need to be replaced with s/n 60v03
-oil pumps with s/n 6d000. 6d001, 6d002, or 6d003 will need to be replaced with 6d004
    More numbers may be issued

Ask your dealer to check service bulletin 02007-011."

I will get the number off the pump and make sure it's not 6d003..., but I hope I don't have to buy a damned pump for this thing in addition to all the other parts on order at this point.

    Thanks again for the help.

Yeh, no worries. Let me know if you would like me to call in the pump serial # to double check w/ Yam. directly. It only takes a couple minutes.
