Hello from Tennessee

I am new to this forum. I live in Tennessee and am planning to spend a week down in Cape San Blas (July 3-July 10). I fish fresh water up here regularly, but I have no idea what I ought to do down in Cape San Blas.

Anyone that could give me some advise would be hugely appreciated. I plan to do some scalloping with the family and we will have a couple of boats (1 pontoon and 1 aluminum xpress) I have some rods, but no tackle. I have no idea what kind of tackle I ought to get or where I ought to fish.

Please advise.
