Welcome Gringo!
I'm glad you found SFC! I got a kick out of your input on another site I frquented, but lack of substance there led me here.
The chuckles (and sometimes outright laughter) you provided I knew I'd miss, so, good to hear from ya!
I can only imagine the stories about all of the "belongers" down there. Please don't hesitate to start a thread about the Turks and fill us all in. I swear, they take "island time" to a whole new level down there...you know when it takes 45 minutes to get a pound of ham at the deli, that you're going to have to loosen up your schedule. I can't imagine building a place. Looking forward to hearing more!
Glad to see you here! I am certain everyone would enjoy the pics and adventures from the islands. Alot of these guys are waxing their snowmobiles right now, so the fishing and treasure adventures from the T&C's will come with welcomed praise.
Glad to see you here.
If you have some questions regarding rigging for those wahoo and such down there, post up... these guys know their stuff!
Wow, thanks. Great welcome. Glad to read that people here like photos. We are pretty much hunkered down right now, with TS Olga moving south of us. Well, we HOPE it moves South of us. But today we are getting gusts to 40 and WindGuru says offshore wave heights should get up to 18 ft. I probably won't be moving the 22 ft. panga CC from the boatyard where it's been for the past month over to our new slip.
As for the photos, I don't know whether to just start posting new ones as we take them, or go back though all the ones already posted elsewhere and put them up here. People who read the blog will have already seen the better ones from months past, I think.
Meantime, here's our dog on our boat. He watches for sharks while we are conch diving out near the reef:
I don't know what he would do if he saw a shark, probably just watch. He's a good watch dog.
