KAYOT PONTOON 2.5 ltr I/O 28 FT PROJECT BOAT & TRAILER Vehicle Description This auction is for a 1983 Kayot I/O (inboard / outboard) 28 foot pontoon boat and nice lift trailer. The engine is a 2.5 4 cyl inboard and OMC out drive and the engine runs great and the out drive is good. This is a project boat that needs rewired and paint among other things. The pontoons are good and made of aluminum and have been painted black and then blue and it is peeling off and looks terrible, the sides are factory fiberglass and the deck seems really solid. This is dirty from being stored under trees and needs a good cleaning. This is being sold as a fixer upper. THIS BOAT IS NOT READY TO USE, IT NEEDS WORK. I know for sure it needs wiring done because the we had to hot wire it to start it and the cable is froze. The engine cover needs new hinges, the cover just lifts off now. If you are looking for a great fixer upper project boat this is it, it has a lot of potential. If you are going to bid on this please come look at it first in case I have missed something. The trailer needs nothing, it is ready to go and is a 28 ft 3 axle lift trailer that operates by electric winch, it has the battery box, remote and winch all wired up so it is very easy to use. The trailer has six brand new tires and wheels, and two spare tires and wheels mounted on the front (the spares are used). The trailer has new wiring and lights and has surge brakes but they donâ??t work now, I broke a hose at the wheel and it will need to be replaced, (it is being sold with broken hose). The triple axle setup is all one unit but it is adjustable from front to back depending on size of boat being hauled. The rails are 28 ft so it will haul a 28 foot boat perfectly and probably even a little longer by hanging it off the back, the front tongue area is 6 ft 8 in so overall length is 34 ft 8 in.
