57Ft Custom Built Trawler-6cyl.-Twin Diesels-NO RESERVE Vehicle Description 57' ft Custom built Trawler with Lower Station and Fly-Bridge. Built by Nascar's # 48 Jimmie Johnson's Crew Chief's Family. This Yacht was built in Indianapolis Indiana. It was One of 4 built by the Knaus Racing Organization. There were 4 built starting in 1975. i'm not sure when this one was finished and commissioned. All 4 were sent to Florida at some point. All but this one, have been destroyed in hurricanes and other types of disasters. This only Drafts 32 inches so it can go in very shallow water. It has a Spiral-Staircase to Upper Deck. I have started totaly redoing this boat. it has been stripped of the interior coverings and re-wired completely. New 110volt Electrical and 12 volt wiring has been totaly been re-done. it is ready for 1 3/4 inch insulation in side-walls and 6 inches in the ceilings. There are 2 bedroom areas below the main decks. A newly re-furbished 12v charging system installed to keep the Large 8 D batteries charged. 2 New Rudder Pins Installed. 2 New Rudder Posts Installed. 2 New Propeller Shaft Struts Installed. 2 New Cutlass Bearings Installed. 2 Brand New 8 D Diesel Starting Batteries Installed. A New 50 amp Electrical Service for powering 240volt Heating System. This Yacht has 240 volt Electric Hot water for shower and washer dryer. Shower and Plumbing are all Brand New with holding tank for sewage. This Yacht will make an Excellent! Liveaboard. Or a Fair to Medium Restaurant. The Upper Deck will hold about 10to15 4 person Tables. I started this to Live below and to make the main Deck and Upper Deck into A-Pizza on Board type Operation. I'm selling due to being bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider at my house now my right arm is kinda messed up. or i would finish and be ready for Spring Season. This Yacht is located up on the Chesapeake Bay and can be run down the Intercoastal Waterway clear to Port St. Lucie Florida or anywhere in-between. It can be run North thru the Erie barge Canal to Pittsburgh-Cleveland or to the Mississippi River. It runs Excellent and is ready to go. It has new bottom paint 3mos. ago. I would not hesitate to take it where-ever you would want to call home. It's SELLING No Reserve Where is AS is. with no Guarantees the man that owned it before i bought it spent 85grand on it and i've spent another 15grand or more. Don't tell my WIFE!!! she'll kill me! no extra charge.
