I am selling my 1965 custom built ex-commercial fishing vessel of carfel planked construction, having a raked stem, round bilges to a long keel and flat transom stern. The hull is a natural oil colored cedar with white decks and teal trim, the deck profile comprising a low trunk cabin forward followed by the wheelhouse, then the aft working deck with a small accommodation cabin set over the fish hold. Below decks is a V-berth in the forepeak followed by the wheelhouse with the main helm station, galley, dinette and enclosed head compartment. The machinery is installed below the wheelhouse sole. Her name is the POLAR STAR and she is moored near Victoria, BC on beautiful Vancouver Island. Moorage is assumable at a rate of $340 per month. She comes fully equipt with all electronics, depth sounder, GPS, Radar, Marine Radio and Auto Pilot. I have included a complete survey of the vessel completed in May of 2009 by Island Pacific Marine Survey Ltd. (worth $1500) that states she is in good health. Since the survey I have had the motor rebuilt and wired in a 40A power supply and complete new power panel with alarms. I have also replaced all 4 bilge pumps with quick change motor style pumps (2 spare motors on board). The Polar Star is a great all around cruiser that burns very little fuel, 1.5 gallons per hour cruising along at 6 knots. I purchased the Polar Star early this past spring with the intention of completely restoring her, however business commitments have eaten up all of my spare time and I just don't have the time for her right now.
