1980 Thompson 252 Weekender
1980 Thompson 252 Weekender Vehicle Description Due to a DEAD BEAT BIDDER,we are re-listing this boat> (BEWARE OF jim302269) We have had this boat for 3 years and have never had a problem with it. We tuned it up at the beginning of last season and it ran very well. We haven't had time this season to take it out due to work. It is winterized and comes with a dual axel roller trailer that makes it easy to unload the boat. It has a cuddy cabin that fits 2 people and has a spot to have a port-a-potti. It has 4 seats in the front and a bench seat over the engine compartment. All seats are in good shape, but the engine compartment has a 2x4 that fell off and needs a new one.(Very easy fix!) Plenty of storage places, carpet is in good shape. There are two soft spots....one in the corner beside the rear seat(you will never step on it) and the other small one is under the cushion where the port-a-potti goes and causes no problem! The canvas is good with no leaks, but has one tear about 4 inches by the straps. It just needs to be sown. We've had this out in 4 foot waves and it handles great due to the hull design that is meant to cut through the waves better than most 24 foot boats. It was pressure washed and could use a bottom paint job. It has a swim platform with a ladder, a new compass, an AM/FM radio, ship to shore radio,a fish finder-depth finder and all works well. The AM/FM radio works, but could stand to be updated. It is in outside storage in Port Clinton and is available to view during their business hours. Please e-mail with any questions! Cash or money order at pick up within 7 days after auction is over. More... |
