1963 Chris Craft 34-foot Constellation Sedan--NO RESERVE Up for a no reserve auction, this Chris Craft Constellation is in excellent condition and has many upgrades. Sleeps six and has a full galley and complete electronics. Large cockpit and flybridge. Also large interior and exterior space for a 34-foot boat. All systems, interior and exterior professionally maintained including new varnish work on the rails using Cetol Marine Light. Haul out and bottom paint in August 2007. Engines are a pair of 283 Chevrolets. One runs perfectly. The other needs to be replaced and the replacement long-block (engine block and cylinder heads) is included. Fuel capacity is 160 gallons, water is 30 and holding tank is 20. Forward is a larger-than-average V-berth that sleeps two and has good storage space. Head, sink and shower are to starboard. A convertible dinette is to port and a full galley is to starboard. Two steps up are an enclosed deckhouse/salon which has an open feel with the lower helm to port and a convertible settee to starboard. The double doors open aft to a large cockpit area allowing expansion of the salon. The large fly bridge has seats that convert into sun chairs. Other features include hot and cold pressurized water, a stainless-steel sink, a full-size Frigidaire fridge/freezer and a new microwave. Electronics and navigation equipment includes a new Simrad 24-mile radar, a new Simrad CP32 GPS, an Interpase Echo 200 LCD with alarm depth sounder, a Bendix model 14 autopilot, a Kenwood TKM-407 VHF, an M-Tech HR-85 handheld VHF and a Jensen AM/FM/CD that powers Pioneer marine speakers on the bridge and in the rear deck area. Electrical includes 12-volt DC and 110 AC shore power, four 12-volt batteries two of which are house batteries, a six-gallon water heater and several 110-volt outlets. Deck and hull construction is wood with double-planked mahogany bottom, batten-seam topsides, framed with 3 1/8- x 1 1/8-inch sawn mahogany on 13-14-inch centers. Bronze fasteners, plywood decks, fiberglassed forward with vinyl cockpit overlay. Other equipment includes a power winch with anchor roller-arm with chock at stemhead, a Danforth galvanized 22s anchor, a Northill 6R anchor with a galvanized chain and rode, non-skid decks and a vintage Chris Craft bow roller. Cockpit upgrades include varnished mahogany deck-to-floor panels with two speakers to match bridge stereo speakers and four entrance doors upgraded with stainless-steel piano hinges. Galley upgrades include single-spout faucet changed from separate hot and cold spout and a custom shelf for microwave. Engine room upgrades include port engine, transmission and reduction gear rebuilt, new port and starboard manifolds, exhaust hose from engine to new fiberglass Y-port and starboard, new mufflers port and starboard. Rebuilt gear-driven raw water pump, port and starboard. Rebuilt carburetors port and starboard. Boat is very seaworthy and has made numerous trips from Marina del Rey to Catalina Island and back. Very nice Marina del Rey slip included if you intend to keep boat locally. Boats of this size can also be readily trucked.
