You are bidding on a Classic Seaworthy 1958 Matthews Convertible Cruiser 42' Yacht.... This Vessel is in water at a marina in Freeport, NY... Although it is seaworthy, it does require extensive surface restoration as the paint is peeling in many areas & the wood decking on the flybridge will probably need replacement... This boat will require extensive dry dock restoration, however it is workable & restorable for someone with the time & knowhow. This strong positive points for this boat, is that it has TWO BRAND NEW CHEVY 350 ENGINES WITH VERY FEW HOURS ON THEM & NEW VELVET DRIVE TRANSMISSIONS. The Donor had this done, then didnt have time for the wood restoration.. The interior is decent i would say, needs a good cleaning, wood work in areas naturally, however the helm as you can see is vintage, the flybridge controls work according to donor.. I cant say what might work & not work but i did see that there is a head with shower & sink, full galley with stove, fridge, sink, etc.. Basically you can see through the pix what the boat is about aesthetically.. It is a Classic wooden yacht thats has been repowered but needs the woodwork done.. The donor simply does not have time to restore the boat so he donated it to the charity... She definitely is an old bird & a classic, definitely in restorable condition but will definitely require alot of TLC... taking such into account the bidding will be started very fairly... This is a large vessel, planty of cabin space, definitely an ocean runner!.. Thats about it, i will try to answer questions as i can regarding this great vessel!
