Avon RIB boat *NO RESERVE* Vehicle Description For sale today my personal dive boat. I bought this to use as a dive boat for my brother and I but injuries sustained in a car wreck earlier this year has prevented me from using this boat and mean that I must now sell to pay the medical bills, my loss is your gain, this is a Avon 4M SeaRider with a 40hp yamaha outboard(premix fuel). As a rigid inflatable you get the best of both worlds the speed and capacity of the rigid with the stability and versatility of a inflatable. This is a good boat for fun in the sun or a perfect private dive platform. the tubes do have some patches but THE TUBES DO NOT LEAK!!!!! I HAVE NOT HAD to add air at all this year(in cold weather tubes to get soft(just like anything that is full of air) but put it out in the sun and they pop right back up to preasure. As mentioned the tubes do have some patches the edges of which could use regluing(if you wanted to) please see pics. the Hull is fiberglass with the awsome water ballast chamber built into the bottom(when the boat sits idle in the water a chamber aprox 4in deep fills with water in the very bottom of the boat this make the boat almost impossible to tip over when entering or exiting the water(perfect for Scuba Diving) when the boat is moving the chamber empties out the back removing the added weight and allowing you to plane and run at much higher speeds. This boat is rated for up to 50hp(rating is by weight of motor) but the local boat shop forman said I could run up to a 65hp in some makes. This 1984 40hp Yamaha is more than enough for me. This motor has seen salt water(by previous owner) the water pump has just been rebuilt(I haven't even put the boat in the water since done, only test tank) the motor runs out pretty good shifts smooth (some times doesn't want to idle, Carb could stand to be cleaned, but not absoulty nesessary) prop is in fair condition no major damage only a couple of small nicks an dings that in no way hinder performance. motor has a whale tale already installed to aid with planing faster.Gas tank and fuel line is BRAND NEW. Trailer only has about 900 miles since bearings were replaced, tires are in fair to good condition(I would not be afraid to pull this anywhere) motor does have a crack near a mount on the tiller handle bracket(tiller not included) it has been repaired by previous owner and has not caused me any problems. Engine mount bushings(rubber) are worn and will need replaced sooner rather than later(these are external mounts that dampen vibrations from the motor) Local shop suggested solid mounting the motor to save money, I never bothered as it wasn't that big a deal to me. I am a certified diver of 5 years, completed my RESCUE diving course last year, so when I say this will make a great private dive boat That is What I MEAN... I have tried to describe to the best of my abbilities all known problems with this boat and motor but since this is a older used boat it is being sold as is with no warranty. I can deliver this boat just about anywhere in the U.S.A for a fee to be payed before I leave my house, or you can pick up the boat in person I will not ship this boat but if you want to make all the arrangements with a shipper and pay them I will assist where possible. A $500 non refundable deposit payable through pay pal is due with in 48hr of auction end with the balance due within 7days of acution ending. Cash is preferred if picking up in person but I will accept pay-pal also. If you pick this up in person I will gladly stick motor in the tank and start it up and run for you to see that this is a running engine just as I have described!
