[IMG][/IMG] Harbor Service Steam Launch, Oceanid, Royal Navy WWII Vehicle Description Steam Launch OCEANID (ex H.S.L. 370) offered for sale NWSS Homepage Available where is, as is, Seattle, Lake Union. http://www.nwschooner.org/oceanid/ , extensive photos Built during WW II as a 52 foot Harbor Service Launch for the Royal Navy, she was bought in 1961 by Robert Ellis, who had her completly refitted in England, including lengthening to her present 60'. Owned by Robert & Vicki Schildwachter of Washington State since 1990. Recently donated to the Northwest Schooner Society, a 501(c)3 charity, which offers the vessel and all of her extant equipment fittings and hull for sale. It is the Society's hope that the Oceanid's entire inventory can be sold as one lot, to an organization or individual willing and capable of restoring or refurbishing her. Oceanid is currently moored in Seattle's Lake Union.
