1998 Gibson 5500 Houseboat Vehicle Description Up for auction is a 1998 Gibson 5500 series houseboat very well maintained and taken care of. There is nothin wrong with this vessel I would not be afraid to take a trip to the Gulf in it today thats how confident of this vessel I am. This vessel can be viewed and taken on a sea trial by (appointment only). The ships current location is a Rock Harbor Marine located at 525 Basswood Avenue, Nashville TN 37209 by water it is mile marker 175 on the Cumberland River. Vessel Walkthrough Boarding via either side you step upon a large covered front deck with seating and storage. Entering thru the straboard side door, you step into a large salon with lower helm. The galley up design is very good with hardwood floor. Moving forward and down is the cutty cabin with 2 Queen berths and head. Large storage drawers and hanging locker complete this area. Moving aft is the California King size berth with 2 hanging lockers and drawers all cedar lined. The head is to the port with a shower/tub and a oversized cabinet for storage. The full sizw washer/dryer is to the starboard and there is a very large pantry for storage. NEW LIMO TINT ON ALL WINDOWS IN 2008 FOR PREVENTION OF FADING AND THERMAL BLOCKING--- $2000 VALUE. This vessel has a 440 gallon fuel tank, a 150 gallon fresh water tank. The vessels average cruise speed is 12mph wide open throttle max speed is about 20mph. This vessel is in great shape has some minor scratches or scuffs here and there but nothin major and the hours on the generator and engines could change as the vessel gets used and taken to sea trial.
