1982 87' Riverboat Paddle Wheeler / Houseboat Vehicle Description Charming Sternwheeler designed by Jack Hargrave. Hargrave designed this 87' Riverboat built in 1982. Original cost over 2 million in 1982. She has a solid steel hull (25' beam) that was tested for thickness in 2008. The boat is in good condition and captures the style and essence of previous times. Her interior is very comfortable for cruising or charter and each of the 6 staterooms opens to the exterior. The original steam engine has been converted to Cummins 6BTA 210 Hp. diesel with hydraulic drive for convenience and to save space. (3500 hours) Her paddle wheel is divided in 2 along with rudders for increased maneuverability. A bow thruster ensures that getting to the dock is easy. Some Great Features Include: 2 Cummins Diesel Generators (50KW and 20KW), Elevator between floors, Antique Calliope (air-driven musical instrument), Bow loading gates can be lifted and also used for tender and Jet Ski storage. She can be seen in the book "American Classic: The Yachts and Ships of Jack Hargrave" on page 155. This upgrade we done in the 90's for several hundred thousand dollars. Accomodations: Each stateroom opens to the exterior. The Master Bedroom has 2 French doors that open aft to overlook the paddlewheel for gorgeous views. The interior is done well with hardwood floors, solid oak doors and solid oak molding. She is in excellent condition with a variety of antique furniture.
