1978 SeaCamper--Parts Boat
1978 SeaCamper--Parts Boat Vehicle Description It's a 1978 SeaCamper. This boat is being sold as a parts boat only becasue we have NO TITLE. We purchased this as a parts boat for the restoration of a 1969 Sea Camper . If your looking at this add, you probably know what a Sea Camper is. The old boat has a solid floor. The transom is the only area of damage to the hull.. No sooner we got the boat, one of my guys backed it up with the drive down and cracked it around the out drive. The drive and skeg are fine. The prop was shot any way. It has the old style Volvo Pent drive and a 350 engine. I have not drilled the floor to see if there is any water in the foam I bet there is, All these Sea Campers ended up wiht some water in the keel over the years. I will say this, the wood around the windows looks great. If there has been any, I think the water incursion was minimal and at acceptable levels to keep from opening the floor. This is a 75% complete and original boat. The persons I acquired it from had started work on it not aware of the boats rarity. If they had been they may have taken care not to glue veneers to the port dash board. All the trim's in the boat along with stainless screws, screens, original upholstery / cushions and other nic-nacks particular to this boat. Some of the rear paneling was removed to check the windows for leaking. You can see this in the photos. If you buy this boat We can help you get it onto your trailer. I sure would like to restore this boat but we have 7 boats in the line up along with the 1969 SeaCamper. You can see it in some of these photos. I just have too many classic boats and to little time for them all much less 2 Sea Campers. It's better for this rare boats health and welfare that some one take it and restore it before it goes bad. And it will in 3 or 4 years before I can get to it, short of climate control storage. Basically, it has everything in it you should have and all you need to restore it short of an original SeaCamper trailer. We were going to use all the appliances in the 1969 but we think it's better to modernize the 1969 boat. We can take and send photos on request of particular things. I could go on and on about it but I will let you ask the questions. Thanks. Spookeay Marine. http://spookeaymarine.info/ More... |
