Carver 28' Carver Mariner Vehicle Description You are bidding on a 1985 28' Carver Mariner. GREAT OPPORTUNITY to have a nice boat for little money. I bought this boat a few months ago and had it trailered to the Panhandle of Fl from south FL. Fortunately for you and unfortunately for me I have been laid off from work and need to sell my "dream." The boat is in good condition (not perfect) but good for a boat of her age. Hull is good, interior is good, canvas will need replacing soon. This boat sleeps 6 with hot and cold water, stand up shower, full galley and Marine AC. This boat is very roomy for a 28' boat, very comfortable layout in cabin with huge bridge area with wrap around seating for guest. Aft deck is plenty large enough for fishing plus a walk-thru transom and fiberglass swim platform. She is powered by twin Merc 350's. Port motor was rebuilt a year ago and needs a starter but runs good, Starboard motor needs rebuilt. I have estimates from local marina's that will rebuild and install for $3,500. She has old GPS, VHF and depthfinder. This is a GREAT boat and I hate to get rid of her but "stuff happens." I have a low reserve on this boat to move her quickly. Go on line and price other Mariner's they are priced around $15,000 and up. Please do not bid on this boat if you are not serious about buying her. With alittle elbow grease and some minor mechanics you will have a wonderful boat.
