FAST BOAT!! TRADES!! Sleekcraft Tunnel Hull New 225!! Vehicle Description 1986 Sleekcraft tunnel hull boat with an awesome running 2004 Evinrude Direct Injection motor for sale! Upholstery redone in 2007, also new gauges, new wiring harness, new dual hydraulic cables, and new 'no-feedback' steering column. A must have for high HP motors! Boat transom I had reinforced professionally with 1/4" aluminum tubing to support torque of motor. This boat manufacturer is mainly a jet boat maker but did make tunnel hulls like this one with a high HP motor. Very fast and gets tons of looks on the water. Especially when blowing by bass boats! Also, with these newer DI motors with onboard computers I was told from my marine mechanic that it is possible to tweak the 225 for more HP. The prop is fairly new used about 100hrs(same as hours I put on boat and motor!) and is I believe a 29"pitch. When I bought boat it had around a 24" and boat wouldnt top out as high. You dont want to over rev the Rpm's on these motors. Under 6000 rpm was recommended. Full out with the turbo prop in good water conditions I ran between 80-86 MPH on GPS. My boat mechanic recommended a 'chop' prop or 'skater' prop, forget which, to use to gain alot more speed with the design of this hull. I was satisfied with what I had although it is always still an option if you want to try it. Believe me, this boat will get your adrenaline going enough at 75-80 mph! Of course the trailer is included with no issues other than sitting since last season. I think one rear light may need to a bulb. Tires are still decent shape and can haul anywhere. Trailer doesnt have a lift jack because you can easily lift onto a truck hitch due to the weight displacement of boat with outboard. One problem is when after I had winterized the last season is something with the trim solenoid or possibly the trim switch(or combination) is shorting out somehow. I have no clue. All I know about so far is the last time I used it starting trimming up on its own so I unhooked the battery cable. Thats as far as I have got with that. The tilt and trim pump is an older unit than the motor so maybe its time is up, I dont know. I have been deployed so, not enough time to have looked at. Only other issue, not really an issue, is boat could use another fuel tank on port side. This boat is setup to have two tanks, one in each side of the outer tunnel part of hull. The starboard side works fine and holds roughly 18 gallons. Which is all I have gotten by with. This is a very fun and fast boat with the potential of being even faster with little modifications...if u dare! I bought boat and motor in 2005 and Maybe put 100hours on it until now, so motor is very new! Reason for selling is of course dont have time, I am deployed and cant finish nor do I have room for it and mainly which hurts to say woman doesnt like riding in it. So, with all that said, I have tried to be as honest as I could and sorry no test drives. It can be ran with my hose muffs for the motor. Not winterized as of yet. God bless our Soldiers! TRADES!!!!
