Eliminator Daytona 23' Turbine Boat Arneson Research Vehicle Description Here is a great opportunity to rub elbows with the elite. This boat was professionally rigged by marine turbine guru Kevin Furry and assisted by the man himself, Howard Arneson at Arneson Research. She was built and rigged in the summer of 1990. The 23' hull is constructed of Kevlar & AME 4000. It is deep red, red, orange, yellow, royal blue, light blue, on a white hull. She seats 5 people. The carpet is red and removable. All aluminum is anodized red and all metal is black. The gauges include TOT, oil psi, fuel, volts, air psi, oil temp, torque, water speed, air speed. This boat is in excellent condition and has never been abused. There are some dings on the rub rails from the trailer and the pier and some marks on the hull. There is some minor paint flaking on some of the red paint on the engine. The surface drive is perfect. She has always been stored inside. The boat has been washed only. You could wax it for more shine but it glows just fine for us. Overall, above average for a 20 year old boat. The engine is an Allison 250-C250B. Rebuilt in the spring of 1995. Sent back to Falcon Helicopter in Denver Colorado around 1999 for re-inspection and has logged about 20 hrs since. She likes to burn Kerosene but will run on good Diesel, Jet A, JP4, or Heating oil. Rated at 420 H.P. plus 25 more with water injection. The engine is mounted in a custom 3 point cradle with aircraft quick disconnects. An engine crate is included for easy engine removal and shipment if needed. It has 12 and 24 volt systems. Also rigged for a flame show out the stacks. See it in the video. Engine weight 160 lbs. 58'' long and 18'' wide. It has power steering via an aircraft hydraulic pump. The trim and cavitation pumps are Mercruiser. The engine is directly linked to a custom powder coated Arneson #6 Surface Drive rated at 1200H.P. with a custom Stainless Rolla prop. The boat is equipped with dual trolling motors for tricky docking situations. They are operated by a joystick on the side console and allow the boat to be maneuvered like a twin engine boat. 2 fuel tanks hold 70 gallons. The other tanks hold 3 gallons of water, 2 gallons of oil. This boat, depending on temperature, passengers and water injection will run upwards of 90 MPH. All Day Long...not in short bursts like piston engine boats. The trailer is a custom built double axle dolly type in good shape with some minor rust. We have a registration and application for title but that is it on the trailer. The application refers to the trailer as ''non-titled trailer original''??? The paperwork and boat title are clear and currently registered in Michigan. I live in Maryland and never transferred any of the paperwork in my name. I am partners on this boat with my brother. We are both buried in our business / family obligations and no longer have time for boating. Please take a look at the boat @ www.youtube.com, key words: Turbine Engine Boat Eliminator. This boat is being sold as is, in running condition and will be available for a ground run up prior to any final sale. I will check all systems on my next run up to verify everything is in working order. This boat has been meticulously rigged and has been featured in 3 magazine articles and 7 shows in California. Overall, she is a real eye catcher and it just might be right for you. Mechanical ability and some general knowledge of turbines is always helpful but not totally necessary. I have the manuals for the engine and a video on the start up procedure. Ask questions and thanks for looking.
