Starcraft 17' bowrider 1975 (new floors) good running Vehicle Description Up for auction is my 1975 17' Starcraft Bowrider with a great 85HP Johnson outboard and a good running trailer included. I have had this boat as a project for the las few months and recently finished it. Originally I got this boat for the outboard and trailer because the floors were soft however I changed my mind and decided to restore the floors because I did't know much about Starcrafts but I researched the brand name and I realized that this boats didn't sell for cheap, (o now you have the chance to get this boat for cheap). Any ways, I removed all the deck's fiberglass and stringers and replaced it with new (fiberglass over wood 3"x6"x8'), a 3/4" plywood coated all around with polyester resin and 2 layers of heavy fiberglass sheet. I also installed brand new carpet and had a friend make me brand new heavy duty custom seats (2 seats). I did't realize how much work the boat needed however I got lucky with the outboard because the gentelman who owned the boat before me had the boat sitting in his back yard for most part of its life and had only used it on lakes, The outboard looks incredible with no rust or accumulated calcium anywere, it would not surprise me if the outboard had under 80 hours, the mechanic had the same opinion. the outboard has a new carburetor kit and runs very well, also has a brand new stearingwheel cable and a 7 year old 12 gallon gas tank. I have not taken any pictures of the outboard but I will add them soon. The trailer is also in good shape, its a home made trailer and it was constructed about 8 years ago and has no rust at all, comes with one brand new wheel and another good used tire, brand new lights, brand new trailer jack. (you will be able to take this boat anywere). Over all this is a good boat with some wear and tear expected from a 35 year old boat but you are bidding on a very solid boat with all prior existing problems taken cared of.
