2002 Rinker Captiva 212 bowrider boat 5.7 Vehicle Description Thank you for taking the time to look at this absolutely gorgeous 2002 Rinker Captiva 212. Iā??ve been around boats for a long time and this is the nicest boat Iā??ve ever had the privilege of owning. Its sleek lines, beautiful black and white exterior, roomy interior and fuel injected 5.7 V8 make this a very desirable bowrider which turns heads everywhere I take it. Iā??ll be moving shortly and would like to give another owner the enjoyment of owning this great boat. This boat has a fuel injected V8 engine which makes starting this boat in any weather an absolute breeze. No more fussing with chokes or multiple cranks to get the boat started. With the quick turn of the key, this boat fires right up and if the Corsa performance exhaust is activated, this boat draws heads at the boat launch when it rumbles to life like a big block muscle car. Being fuel injected, itā??s surprisingly very economical if you cruise at half throttle. The few times Iā??ve wound this boat up, it absolutely flies and sounds amazing. I canā??t stress how nice this exhaust package looks and more importantly sounds. Iā??ve had 10 people in the boat and had no problem getting on plane quickly. It has all the power to pull skiers, wakeboarders, and tubes with ease. Being a big boat, it throws a nice size wake which keeps my wakeboarding friends very happy. This boat shows very nicely and I always get compliments. It is regularly waxed and maintained. Iā??m meticulous in cleaning the boat every time we take it out of the water at the end of the day. Everyone that rides in the boat cleans the windows, wipes down the exterior and conditions the vinyl. Aside from a few minor hairline scratches and some small scuffs of the very front where the trailer support rests next to the u-bolt, this boat is in great condition and it is ready for its new owner. Itā??s always been trailered to the lake and has never sat in water overnight. Engine This Rinker has the tried and true 350 Mercruiser V8 which also is fuel injected. It starts right up, doesnā??t use a drop of oil and runs perfect without a hiccup. Maintenance has always been done at the end of every season with new filters and fresh oil. It has so much power for this size boat; it amazes me every time we take it out how fun this boat is to drive. One of the biggest things that sold me on this boat was the Corsa quick and quiet exhaust. At the flick of a button on the dash, the exhaust can either be diverted through the stainless steel side-hull openings for an incredibly sweet sounding ride, or can be diverted through the prop when quietly idling back to the dock late at night. Outdrive The Mercruiser 5.7 EFI V8 is couple to an alpha one outdrive. It shifts flawlessly and the tilt and trim work without a hitch. Just like the engine, the lower unit oil is always changed at the end of the season. Hull The hull is in great shape and really sets this boat apart on the water. This boat has classy lines and sits gorgeously on the water. It has a deep V hull which rides lake Michigan chop very smoothly. Passengers feel very safe and even my non-swimming buddies love hanging out and riding on the boat because of how nicely it rides. Interior The vinyl is in great shape. It is religiously wiped down and conditioned every time we take it out. I keep the covers on the boat anytime weā??re not on the water and there is no sun fading whatsoever. It has a Sony CD player with 2 remotes and four Kenwood marine speakers. The system sounds great and my friends love being able to play DJ with the two remotes. It also has an IPOD connector cable. The two captainā??s chairs are very comfortable and they each have flip up bolsters if you like to sit a little higher, or stand up while driving. There is plenty of storage and cubby holes throughout the boat to stash all 10 passengerā??s things and life jackets and toys. The boat has snap-out carpet which makes cleanup a breeze. Unlike other boats, this Rinker has an all 100% fiberglass hull and youā??ll never have to worry about rotting stringers, mildew or mold. The built in garbage can with its own dedicated cubby makes it easy to keep things neat and tidy when you are on the water. One of the nicest features of this boat is the hide-away table. It makes long slow evening cruises on the Chicago River an absolute delight. The rear lounge seating is very intimate and comfortable. 10 people have no problem finding their own space and enjoying the ride. In the front bowrider area, there are two removable cushions which turn the area into one big sun pad. Between the front and rear sun pads, the girls are very happy. Trailer This Rinker Captiva comes with its own matching custom Trailmaster dual axle trailer. It comes with high quality Kodiak brakes, new tires on all four wheels and freshly greased hubs. The trailer has a spindle-lube axle which makes greasing the hubs a breeze. The trailer pulls behind my truck easily and really compliments the colors and look of the boat.
