Airboat 300 HP all camo seats 5 very fast and stable Vehicle Description This airboat is custom built and there are no others like it. It was built originally for navigating small Alaskan rivers, but never made it out of Montana and has been used sparingly. I do not know the exact model of the engine, but it is a Buick V8 and has just under 300 HP. It is very fast and we have clocked it at 42 MPH using a handheld GPS unit. There are two seats for the front. One is the one pictured and it is a backseat from a suburban. I put it in to replace the original seat which is not as long and is a dry box with a backrest(not pictured). I have put in a new alternator, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and change the oil in it every 10 hours. The bottom has a replaceable aluminum skid plate. The skid plate has some wear at the back edge, but the hull is 100% solid with no leaks whatsoever. It has two bilge pumps and two spot lamps on the top of the roll cage. It has two fog lamps, and two flood lights to illuminate the interior of the boat. There are two 12v cigarette lighter outlets. A four-rod rod holder on the interoir and a fire extingusher. This is a great boat, I am selling it because I just don't use it anymore. I take it out about once a month just to run it. I has a whirlwind propeller professionally installed at the cost of $5,000 you can check out whirlwind propellers at
http://www.whirlwindaviation.com/ I had to extend the roll cage to fit the 66" prop and it has really taken this boat to the next level. It gets on plane immediately and with only the driver the boat actually drafts no water by skipping across the surface of the water. It actually catches air at full speed. It can handle large loads and three people very comfortably. The most i had in this boat was 5 people, 2 dogs and decoys and it still got on plane going upstream or down very quickly. This airboat does not have a gear reduction system and the prop is directly mounted to the drive shaft. This makes for no chains which is usually the weak link on airboats "pardon the pun". If anyone would like to come out and see what this is capable of we are located on the Bighorn River in Fort Smith, MT . I won't be able to let you drive due to respect to other bidders, but i will show you how great this boat performs. Any questions please send a message or give me a call at 303-332-9320. God bless and happy bidding.
