US 25 Sailboat and trailer
US 25 Sailboat and trailer Vehicle Description Dulcinea was my first large boat, and the greatest lesson I have learned from her is that I can't launch her without a crane, so she's been more or less on the hard for the last year with the exception of two annual regattas in which she showed her pedigree. She definitely needs some work, but she's a remarkably stable and fast platform despite that. I couldn't be more pleased with her, I just needed to find a boat I can actually put in the water. Includes: Jib, genoa, and main in fair to good condition. Hull, deck, and keel in excellent form; no soft spots or blisters. All halyards run through the mast internally. Hardware is spartan; two lewmar winches, main traveler, and a backstay tensioner pretty much accounts for everything. Tandem-axle trailer has electric brakes, but they are currently non-functional. Some of the improvements she could use are as follows: Will need at least one new shroud; with three per side, the forward-most port shroud is beginning to fray. The tiller was snapped off before I acquired her. While I've grown to like the short tiller and the room it frees up in the cockpit, it's certainly not stock, nor is there an extension. The alcohol stove should be replaced. Electrical and plumbing will need minor work. Standard on these US 25s, the windows were left unsealed, so some water does get around them (easy fix). The cushions are in miserable condition, and the cabin liner for the roof will need to be replaced. There is no cover on the bilge. It is something of a hazard to unshod feet. A note for towing: unfortunately, the rig is rather tongue-heavy at the moment, and I have no way of redistributing the weight. Be sure you have a solid hitch. The two front tires and the spare for the trailer are new. The boat title is clear, though the trailer has neither title nor registration. Please don't hesitate to ask for further information.
