44' Wellington Ketch WOW Liveaboard Yacht Island Ready! Vehicle Description WELLING 1981 CRUSING KETCH located in Manteo, North Carolina This Yacht Turns Heads Wherever It Goes! With it's dark green masts and green trim and covers, it's a one of a kind. It is with deep regret that due to a domestic situation I am forced to sell. The yacht is ready to go, in fact it should be on its way to the Islands now, there is nothing that needs to be done. The yacht is 44ft. on deck, 46ft. with pullpit, plus davits and dingy, a beam of 13'10 it draws 4'3" with board up and 9ft. down, cruises 7+ kts. It has a three cabin layout, a Master Aft Cabin with walk around queen bed with adjoining Electra Scan head with shower that has access to the stand up engine room. Engine is a 58hp. Diesel Westerbeke with 6500 hrs. It seems to be in it's prime. Oil and filters are changed every 100 hrs. No oil has to be added between changes, starts easily, with no smoke, and runs smooth. We have on board a spare starter, and Westerbeck fresh water pump. I run the engine at about 2000 with a clean bottom will give me 6.5 to 7 kts. The yacht has new Raymarine navigation, C-80 chart plotter with radar, GPS, and depth, radar can overlay electronic charts, great on a dark night or in fog. Electronic Wind Direction and Speed, and backup boat speed and depth gauges. The yacht also has a new 7 gal. per hour water maker, with two outlets one to the galley the other to main water tank, the boat holds about 150 gal water and 150 gal fuel. The galley has a new 3 burner Force 10 propane stove with oven, Tanks are stowed on deck in large locker, There is a gas turn off in the galley for the tanks. Refrigeration is Grunert cold plates, will keep ice cream at zero if you want. the freezer and refrigeration compartments are large, we can store 6 months of food on this boat! Electrical system is 12v with a high output alternator a 2500w heat inverter. An on deck 3000w Honda generator - this has worked out to be the perfect answer to our power problems, it uses gasoline and very little of that, is also very quiet, but the big plus is that you don't consume precious diesel, gasoline can be had anywhere, not so diesel, plus gas is needed for the dingy outboard anyway. When we were in Georgetown, Exumas, Bahamas last winter our friends were anxiously awaiting fuel for 2 weeks as the super yachts kept taking it all while we merily went along running our Honda and enjoying refrigeration, AC (drop in unit in aft cabin hatch) and movies on the tv! The yacht has been completely re-upholstered at a cost of $11000, salon, v-berth and cockpit, You can see from the photgraphs that this is not your cookie cutter boat! A 27" a Jensen marine flat screen TV for watching your movies. There is lots of storage, 6 months of food tucks away easily! This Yacht is truly a perfect live aboard cruising sailboat. An apex hard bottom inflatable dingy stored on davits comes with an 8hp outboard engine, BONUS: Want to liveaboard in North Carolina when you are not out cruising?
