1983 Alden 44 sailboat
1983 Alden 44 sailboat Vehicle Description The Alden 44 is the ultimate offshore cruising auxiliary. She has fine quality and meticulous craftsmanship. She balances perfectly, is fast, and close-winded. She is indeed a yacht and "Second Wind" is maintained to the highest standards. Although "Second Wind" has been lightly used, she has had virtually every system upgraded in recent years including sails, canvas, Navtec hydraulics, bow thruster, windlass, Raymarine chartplotter, autopilot, and instruments, pumps, refrigeration, twin Balmar chargers, ports, hatches, max prop, cockpit cushions, interior cushions, etc. Hauled 2008 for new bowthruster, buff and wax, and micron bottom job; no blisters. Teak decks have been rebunged, over 1200 screws lowered and re-bedded before bunging in 2009. She is located at Cocoa Village Marina. Buyer will pay $2,000 within 48 hours and she will be sold subject to sea-trial and survey. She is documented and has no lien. Age and health issues have us considering a trawler. The mainsail is a Doyle stakpak virtually new and is laying on the aft birth as shown in picture. The gennaker, 150 headsail, yankee, and staysail are like new, used very little. Mast height is 62 feet. More and better pictures are on yachtworld.com. More... |
